This lovely number perfectly compliments a pair of ratty jeans or oil-soaked coveralls.

It's also the perfect shirt for watching NASCAR or wrestling... or really, anytime you feel like drinking beer.

I've said it before. I'll say it again. I wish this was my dog.

Or is it wish it were? I always get mixed up on the subjunctive case.

My nephew is a pretty cool kid. That is, when he isn't throwing a tantrum or breaking something. Like his head. This is a very rare picture of him without a visible bruise, bandage or goose egg.

Like the Mona Lisa, there's a mystery behind his smile. To me, it's obvious why he's smiling. A smirk like that tells me he probably just set something on fire.

Tommy used to be named Geoffery. But that was back when he was going to be our dog. At the time though, we were living with my in-laws while our house was being built so we had no way of keeping him. Now he lives with my sister-in-law and her family.

Whenever I see him though he always sticks his nose in my crotch then barks once as if to say, "dude."

It's been a new challenge to shoot with just one lens again. All I have on the new Canon is the 18-55mm that came with the basic kit. On this weekend's camping trip I found myself using the wide angle end of the lens more than usual to take advantage of the wider aperture.

My next lens might be a fixed depth wide angle lens in the 12 to 18mm neighborhood.

I have a whole bunch of shots from this trip that I'll post this week of kids, dogs and scenery but signs are always an irresistible photographic subject for me. Especially ones I don't fully understand. I mean, who would only camp for the day? Why not just say, "No Camping, Hippies"?

This collage is an idea I totally stole from Heather Champ. I shot these with my iPhone the last time I was waiting to see the doctor.

BZ (Before Zoloft), this is actually exactly how sitting in a doctor's office felt to me.

This is one of the very first shots I snapped with the new camera. This is a completely candid photo. Donna actually almost always has this look on her face any time I talk about new electronics. I went on non-stop about the camera and nearly gave her a stroke, I think.

I took this shot with the D40 a couple weeks ago in the waiting room at my doctor's office. Every time I see one of these toys at a health care provider, I'm struck by the irony of those wooden beads passing disease from one tiny little hand to another.

Once again, the iPhone is flying the missing-man formation while the D40 is away.

We planted this part of the garden by throwing handsful of seeds from packets into the dirt. Just add water. We weren't sure if this was a weed or a flower until these yellow blooms popped out a couple days ago. We think it's some kind of snapdragon. Or maybe a real dragon.

    Time will tell.

I've resigned myself to never seeing my Nikon D40 again. So today's photo is taken with my iPhone. Notice the stylin' new Your Mom Is A Nice Piece Of Lettuce shirt?

The pool has been open but it hasn't gotten a lot of use because of the cool temperatures. Attention, Mother Nature: IT IS JUNE. PLEASE ACT MORE APPROPRIATELY.
